The original owner was from Washington state and kept RUNNING FREE, as she was named then, on the west coast most of the time.
It is believed RUNNING FREE was delivered through the Panama Canal to Florida and placed onto the brokerage market. The second owner purchase her in the fall 2013. The name was then changed to MOONLIGHT.
Work was done on the boat in Florida and then she was shipped to Ohio in May 2014. MOONLIGHT was sailed around the Great Lakes during the summers of 2014 to 2018 and stored in a heated shed in the winters, allowing work to be done in the off season. In August 2019 installation of the generator was completed and MOONLIGHT left Ohio and sailed out the St. Lawrence Seaway and headed south.
She then sailed the east coast of the US down to Key West and the Bahamas until 2024. During the last several years MOONLIGHT went to Herrington Harbor North on the Chesapeake Bay and was taken out of the water for several months so work could done on her.
The present owner purchased MOONLIGHT in September 2024 and renamed her ARCADIA. He then sailed to the Caribbean for the 2024/2025 winter. In the spring of 2025, the plan is to sail to Rhode Island where ARCADIA will remain until sold.
