UXORIOUS IV was originally built in 2004 for an Italian owner who then named her GEMAYA.
In 2011 she was sold in the UK to the present owner with the intentions of circumnavigating the world and competing in various major regattas and offshore races on the way.
After competing in the Cowes to Dinard and Fastnet races in 2011 UXORIOUS IV sailed across the Atlantic in November that year. She cruised the Caribbean and US East coast of the US for three years racing in the Caribbean 600 three times and in the Newport to Bermuda race in 2012.
In January 2015 the owners headed for the Pacific, entering the Panama Canal in February. Ports of call on the way to Australia included; Galapagos, the Marquesas, the Tuamotus, French Polynesia, Niue, the Cook Island, Fiji, and Noumea arriving in Sydney in October 2015. UXORIOUS IV competed in the Sydney to Hobart race in December that year.
In early 2016 UXORIOUS IV sailed up the East coast of Australia, through the Torres straights and on to Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. She was then shipped through the Red Sea from Thailand to Turkey to avoid any issues with the Somalian pirates who were active at that time.
After cruising in the Mediterranean for the summer UXORIOUS IV arrived back to Lymington, UK in late 2016 and so completed its circumnavigation.
Since 2016 UXORIOUS IV has cruised extensively in the Caribbean, Maine, the Mediterranean, Cuba and Newfoundland and has made several Atlantic crossings both East and West
Always with a captain aboard, UXORIOUS IV has been maintained to the highest level to help ensure trouble free cruising and racing. The owner's dreams for their cruising and racing ambitions have now been met and it is time to move on.
UXORIOUS IV remains in spectacular condition and she is ready for her next adventure.
